Hey there, my friends!

I just wanted to to ask a favor of you all. My site, is in the running for the Independent Book Blogger Awards on Goodreads. It’s a prestigious accolade among people in the Book Review field, and something I think, with your help, we can win this year! As you may know, The Founding Fields has been my baby for the last 4 years, and it has grown in ways that I never would have imagined. Everyday, I receive emails from authors and publishers asking TFF to review their book(s). It’s a humbling and highly rewarding experience doing what I do, and I hope to continue to do it for many years to come. It wouldn’t be right of me to forget to mention the people I work with, as TFF is not a solitary venture after all. Off and on, I’ve had a total of eight different people reviewing books for me over the last four years, and I think that that number will continue to grow as the years go on. Also, without YOUR help, and continued cooperation, TFF would not be what it is today. Some of you have opened doors for me, while others have even been kind enough to take time from their busy schedules to write guest posts for the site, while yet others are simply readers, and ALL are my friends. All of these things make me a very thankful man and reviewer. As you know, I make no money off The Founding Fields and the only thing I get in return are the free books that i receive for the purpose of review. That is reward enough. When I entered TFF into the Independent Book Blogger Awards on Goodreads, I didn’t do it for myself. No, the reason I put us up for it was for my staff. It takes people like Abhinav (Shadowhawk), Larry (djinn24), Milo (Bane of Kings), Jeff Preston, Christian D’Amico, EJ Davies, Alex (Lord of the Night), and our guest reviewers to make this site what it is. Without them, I would still be the same guy fighting for every reader and every review… It is for them, as a token of my thanks, that I entered TFF into this competition. They make no money from the site nor from me, so I want to be able to reward them with something, as a token of my everlasting thanks, for the stunning amount of effort that they put in on a daily basis. With your help, we can make that happen.

I only ask two things from all of you in this email… (and the fact that you’ve read this far in is thanks enough for me) The first thing I ask is that you follow the link below to vote for TFF in the IBBA on Goodreads. The second thing that I ask is you spread this messagel to everyone you know who loves Science Fiction and Fantasy, or may appreciate the work that a relatively small-name website is doing to spread the love of books and reading around the world and to the masses. If you would be so kind, please spread this link, and the word to everyone you know. It would mean a lot to me.

Thank you for your time, my friends. cheers!
