Shadowhawk brings you another cover reveal from Angry Robot Books, although this is not an exclusive, revealed earlier today at the This Is Horror blog.

“So utterly dark, and yet so hopeful, definitely one of the best Angry Robot covers to date.” ~The Founding Fields

Joseph D’Lacey’s new upcoming novel, Black Feathers, is a novel that I’m quite eagerly waiting for as the premise sounds very exciting, and is also a significant departure from the type of novels that I usually read. 2012 has been a great year for me branching out from reading mainstream SFF (especially tie-in), and I see Black Feathers as one more step on that road. Here’s the cover:

Black Feathers is a modern fantasy set in two epochs: the Black Dawn, a time of environmental apocalypse, and generations into the future in its aftermath, the Bright Day.

In each era, a child undertakes a perilous journey to find a dark messiah known as The Crowman. In their hands lies the fate of the planet as they attempt to discover whether The Crowman is our saviour… or the final incarnation of evil.
